A massive Well Done to our Zinc  Team who have been crowned the 2023 Zinc Scottish Team Champions with a massive score of 141.871
Our Girls competed against 30 other Clubs and 162 Gymnasts from all over Scotland. The Team performed some gorgeous and stylish gymnastics today and looked absolutely fabulous!

A massive Well Done to our Copper Team who have been finished 2nd in Scotland at the 2023 Copper Scottish Team with a massive score of 137.286
Our Girls competed against 25 other Clubs and 125 Gymnasts from all over Scotland. The Team performed some beautiful and classy gymnastics and looked absolutely incredible today! We could not have asked for anymore

A massive well done to Kirsty and Eilidh who competed today in the Bronze Classic Challenge Scottish Championships

Kirsty competed confidently and beautifully placing 2nd Overall , 3rd on Bars and 1st Beam
Eilidh had a fantastic competition showing off some beautiful gymnastics and is the first gymnast from the club to compete a somersaulting vault Eilidh Also placed 12th overall and 4th on Bars
This is the first time the girls and the Club have competed at this level and they absolutely smashed it

Today is the Lanch of our New Leadership Academy. This is a fantastic new scheme set by Britsh Gymnastics to anable young people develop new skills which will benefit them if they wish to pursue a career in coaching. We are looking for enthusiastic young people from P7 - S6 to join this new programme. We will be holding an introductory session on Saturday 11th of April 2020.

If anyone has anymore questions or would like to enrol their child in the programme please feel free to get in touch.

Well done to Chris who attended the Primary Teacher Resource Tutor Course held by Scottish Gymnastics yesterday in Kinross. Chris is now an approved tutor and the Academy is an approved delivery centre for teacher looking to expand their knowledge of gymnastics!

Central Gymnastics Academy is committed to tackling poverty-related injustice. As a result, sanitary products are now available in both our toilets. The aim of the programme is to tackle 'poverty- related injustice in a non-stigmatising manner'. The products will be made freely available to all our members and will be stored in a help yourself basket in each toilet to avoid risk of embarrassment or stigma.

A massive well done to all our girls who competed this weekend in the Scottish Elite Voluntary levels! You all looked fantastic!

A special mention to the following gymnasts:

Eilidh competed the the InAge Level 4 Competition and placed 7th Overall, 5th on Vault, 6th on Beam and 2nd on Floor. This is a massive achievement as only 17 gymnasts from the whole of Scotland entered this category due to how challenging it is.

Caitlin competed in the 8yr Level 6 competition against 74 and placed 5th Overall and 2nd on Bars.

Lizzie competed in the 12/13yrs Level 4 Competition and placed 8th on Beam

Our Gym refurbishment is now complete and we can’t believe how fantastic our facility looks!

We are now the only Club in Stirling, Clackmannanshire and Falkirk who have up to date FIG Standard Competition Equipment in our State of the Art Training Facility!

We have recently opened new classes which are now available to book online including a Beam and Bars Only Class, Open Gym and a Saturday morning Mixed Beginners Class.

A Massive Well Done to our Level 6 Team who placed 2nd out of 33 Team today at the Scottish Level 6 Team Championships! All of our gymnast performed beautifully and produced some fantastic routines.

This was our first year hosting our Annual Club Championships in our new home. To Celebrate the occasion we went all out to boast our gymnasts competition experience! We had over 150 Gymnasts compete in our 3 day event from 4yrs -15yrs in a variety of different categories from Beginner to Elite. We Crowned 19 Club Champions in their respective age group and category as well as awarding gymnasts 1st-6th place overall and on each piece of apparatus they competed on, as wells as rewarding every single gymnast who competed with a participation certificate.

This year we had 18 Girls competing at The Scottish National, Regional and Club Grades!
We had:

  • Two commended Passes at National 5
  • One Pass at National 4 
  • One Pass at National 3 
  • Three Commended Passes at Regional 4 and a 6th Place Overall
  • Three Commended Passes at Regional 3
  • One Commended Pass at Regional 1
  • Two Distinctions and Two Commended Passes at Club 6 and a 4th Place Ribbon on Range and Conditioning 
  • Three Commended Passes at Club 5
We were the most sucessful Club in the Stirling, Clackmannanshire, Falkirk Area in this years Grades Competition!

During the Easter Holidays we moved into our New Facility in Munro Rd. This new Facility has meant that we have been able to increase our membership and open up new classes to allow more Children in Stirling and the surrounding areas the opportuinty to participate in gymnastics. The new facility has also provide our current members with a state of the art training arena which will help enhance their training experience within the Academy.

Congratulations to our Womens Artistic 4- piece Squad who all passed the respective Grades this weekend

  • Lucy competed  in Regional Grade 1. Lucy passed with distinction with a score of 58.951 placing 4th overall, 1st on Bars, 2nd on Vault, 7th on Floor and 8th on Beam and Range!
  • Demi- Lee and Tia  competed in Regional Grade 3. Both girls passed with Commended!
  • Katie and Caitlin competed in Regional Grade 2 . Katie passed with Commended with a score of 54.850. Caitlin passed with distinction with a score of 58.317 placing 14th overall, 9th on Bars and 8th on Range!
  • Breagh and Lizzie who both passed Regional Grade 4! The Girls competed against 128 gymnasts from all over Scotland. Breagh placed 27th overall and 9th on Beam with a score of 59.876 passing with Distinction and Lizzie placed 87th with a score of 55.550 passing with Commended even after two unfortunate falls on Beam!

A huge Well Done to our Level 4 Youth Micro Mixed Team who competed in the 2016 Scottish TeamGym Open on the 7th of February 2016. The Team Consisted of Luisa Tortolano, Georgia Mckenzie, Robbie Hay and Iain Middleton. This was the first time the Academy had entered a team into the Scottish Open and are proud to say that after a tough competition our gymnasts were crowned Scottish Champions.
